Cancellation & Refund Policy.

How cancellations and refunds work at Auction Edge. Currently free during beta — paid plans coming with a clear refund window.

1. Current status — beta is free

Auction Edge is currently free during beta. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. You can stop using the Platform at any time by closing your account or simply not logging in.

This Policy is published in advance so it is in force the moment paid plans launch.

2. When paid plans launch

Paid plans will be introduced on a date announced at /pricing and via email to account holders. You will not be charged automatically; you will have to actively choose a paid plan.

3. Plans and billing

We expect to offer:

  • Pro (monthly) — billed monthly, cancel anytime, takes effect at end of current period
  • Pro (annual) — billed annually, discounted vs monthly, cancel anytime, refund per Section 5
  • Institutional (multi-seat / annual) — custom contract, refund terms governed by that contract

4. Cancellation

You can cancel a paid plan at any time:

  • In-product — the dashboard will have a "Manage subscription" page where you can cancel in two clicks
  • By email — write to billing@auctionedge.in and we will cancel within one business day

When you cancel:

  • Monthly plans — you keep access until the end of the current billing period; no further charges
  • Annual plans — you keep access until the end of the current annual period unless you also request a refund (see Section 5)

There is no penalty for cancelling. We do not run win-back surveys, retention dark patterns, or "are you sure?" loops past the standard confirmation.

5. Refunds

5.1 Refund window

We offer a 7-day refund window from the date of first payment on each plan.

If you cancel and request a refund within this window, you will receive a full refund of the most recent charge, less any applicable payment-processor fees that are not refundable to us.

5.2 After the refund window

For monthly plans purchased outside the refund window, the most recent month's payment is non-refundable. Cancellation prevents future charges.

For annual plans cancelled after the refund window, we offer pro-rata refund of unused months at our discretion, less:

  • The retail value of months already consumed (charged at the equivalent month-on-month rate)
  • A 10% administrative fee
  • Any non-refundable payment-processor charges

5.3 No refund for

  • Usage-based purchases (e.g. credit packs, if introduced) once consumed
  • Downloaded reports, exports, or PDFs
  • Add-ons or one-off purchases more than the refund-window-old
  • Accounts terminated by us for breach of Terms

5.4 How to request a refund

Email billing@auctionedge.in with:

  • Account email
  • Date of charge
  • Reason (optional but appreciated — feedback shapes the product)

We will acknowledge within one business day and process eligible refunds within 7 business days to the original payment method. Bank settlement timelines are governed by the payment processor and your bank.

6. Failed payments

If a recurring payment fails, we will:

  1. Notify you by email
  2. Retry per the payment processor's standard schedule
  3. Pause access if all retries fail
  4. Cancel the subscription if the payment is not resolved within 14 days

You can update your payment method at any time in the dashboard.

7. Pricing changes

We may change prices for new sign-ups at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect on their plan, with the option to cancel before the new price applies.

8. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us is not the right way to resolve a billing dispute. Email billing@auctionedge.in first. We are a small team and we will sort out anything legitimate quickly. Accounts with confirmed fraudulent chargebacks may be suspended.

9. Taxes

GST is not currently applicable, as Auction Edge is not yet incorporated and is not GST-registered. Once incorporated and GST-registered, this section will list our GSTIN and confirm whether prices are inclusive or exclusive of GST.

10. Institutional contracts

Multi-seat and institutional plans are governed by the master service agreement signed for that contract. Where the MSA conflicts with this Policy, the MSA prevails for that contract.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. Changes apply to charges made after the new effective date. We will not retroactively change refund eligibility on payments you have already made.
