Disclaimer & Risk Warning.

Read this once. Take it seriously.

Auction Edge is NOT a SEBI Registered Investment Advisor.

We are not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as an Investment Adviser, Research Analyst, Portfolio Manager, or in any other capacity for which SEBI registration is required.

Nothing on this Platform — including the dashboard, daily and weekly briefs, structural levels, regime analysis, options analytics, the AI Narrator's commentary, the (forthcoming) AI Trading Coach output, the blog, the Substack, social posts, emails, or any other channel we publish through — constitutes investment advice, a recommendation, a "call," a tip, or a solicitation to buy, sell, hold, hedge, or abstain from any security, derivative, or other financial instrument.

We do not provide personalised advice. We do not know your financial situation, objectives, time horizon, or risk tolerance. The output you see is identical for every user.

What we are

Auction Edge is an educational and analytical platform built around Market Profile and auction theory. We:

  • Describe what the auction is doing — value, rotation, initiative, structural levels, regime
  • Reconstruct market state in human-readable form
  • Maintain historical statistics on rotations, regimes, and structural conditions
  • Publish AI-written analysis of completed sessions

We describe. We do not prescribe.

What we are not

  • Not a SEBI Registered Investment Advisor
  • Not a Research Analyst registered under SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations
  • Not a Portfolio Manager
  • Not a stockbroker, sub-broker, or authorised person
  • Not a tip service, signal channel, or "call" provider
  • Not a guarantor of profit, accuracy, uptime, or any specific outcome

If anyone tells you Auction Edge guarantees returns, they are misrepresenting us. Report it to us at legal@auctionedge.in.

Trading involves risk

Trading securities and derivatives is risky. You can lose money. You can lose all of your trading capital. In leveraged products such as futures and options, losses can exceed initial margin.

The Indian derivatives market is regulated by SEBI and the exchanges (NSE, BSE). Multiple SEBI studies have documented that the majority of individual derivatives traders lose money. We will not pretend otherwise. The existence of structural analysis does not change this base rate — it is a tool, not a guarantee.

You should:

  • Trade only with capital you can afford to lose
  • Understand the instruments you are trading, including margin, expiry, leverage, and assignment risk
  • Maintain stop-losses and risk discipline appropriate to your account size
  • Consult a SEBI Registered Investment Advisor if you need personalised advice

Past performance is not future performance

Historical statistics published on the Platform — rotation distributions, regime hit rates, structural-level holding rates, scorecard outputs — describe what has happened in the data we have. They are not predictions of what will happen tomorrow.

Markets change. Volatility regimes change. Liquidity changes. Participant behaviour changes. Any forward-looking inference you draw from historical data is your own.

Data accuracy and system availability

We use third-party market data and our own derived calculations. Despite our care:

  • Data may have errors, gaps, or delays
  • Real-time displays may lag, fail to update, or temporarily show stale state
  • AI-generated commentary may contain factual errors, mislabel regimes, or misread structure
  • The Platform may be unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or beyond our control

Always verify against your broker or exchange terminal before acting. Do not place a trade based on a number you saw on Auction Edge without confirming it on a primary source.

AI-generated content

The AI Narrator and the (forthcoming) AI Coach use large language models, currently from Anthropic. AI output is probabilistic and can be wrong. It can hallucinate levels, misattribute initiative, miscount rotations, or draw incorrect conclusions from correct data. Use AI output as a starting point for your own thinking, not as a black-box oracle.

You are responsible

You — the user — are solely responsible for:

  • Every trading decision you make
  • Every order you place
  • Every loss you take
  • Tax implications of your trading
  • Compliance with any laws and regulations applicable to you, including SEBI and exchange rules
  • Verifying the suitability of any approach for your own situation

If you are unsure, consult a SEBI Registered Investment Advisor.

Derivatives risk warning

NIFTY index futures and options are leveraged instruments. A small adverse move can produce a large loss. Options can expire worthless. Short option positions carry potentially unlimited loss. Margin requirements can change intraday. Liquidity is not guaranteed at all strikes or all times.

For the full standardised risk disclosure on Indian equity derivatives, consult the Risk Disclosure Document published by NSE and SEBI on the NSE website. Nothing on Auction Edge replaces or supersedes that document.

Forward-looking statements

Any statement we publish about the future — what we plan to build, when a feature will launch, what pricing will look like, where the company is going — is forward-looking and may change. We are a small team building publicly; reality outranks our roadmap.

Jurisdiction

The Platform is operated from India and intended primarily for users in India. If you access the Platform from outside India, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws. The information on the Platform may not be suitable or available in all jurisdictions.

Updates to this Disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer to reflect changes in law, our business, or our understanding of best practice. Material changes will be communicated via email to account holders and posted with a new effective date.

Bottom line

Auction Edge gives you a structural read of the market. It does not give you advice. Every trade you place is your decision and your responsibility. Trade carefully. Trade with capital you can afford to lose. If you need personalised advice, consult a SEBI Registered Investment Advisor.
