- Line in the sand: 24200. Lose it → run toward the untouched volume point of control near 24150. Reclaim 24260 → room back to 24270–24297.
Since the close: The open probed yesterday’s upper value before sellers took over, pushing price beneath the entire prior value area — stronger than a routine range-bound open. The IB is wider than recent averages, normally a sign the day contains itself, but options pricing disagrees: the straddle has firmed even though neither IB edge has broken — a trend-day options signal against a normal-day price signal.
Volatility stays compressed (35th percentile) and realized swings are running below what pricing implies — a coiled market that argues against fading any confirmed break.
